The Montebello Police Department is a full-service organization committed to traditional values of close community involvement and the value of the individual employee.

The agency is funded for 77 fulltime sworn officers, 10 reserve officers, 28 professional staff, 18 part-time professional staff, and several volunteers and seasonal staff.

The Montebello Police Department is a modern, progressive agency, which takes advantage of the rapid advancements in law enforcement technology. The Communications, Records and Investigative units make extensive use of computer aided dispatching and report management systems.
